UAE Retirement Calculator 2026

This calculator targets 25 times your inflation-adjusted annual spending at retirement — equivalent to a 4% implied annual withdrawal rate. It first inflates your entered spending figure to your retirement date, so the corpus target is higher the further away retirement is.

Rarely on its own. Gratuity is calculated at 21 days of basic salary per year for the first 5 years and 30 days per year after that, capped at 24 months of basic salary — a meaningful base layer, but usually not enough without personal savings and investments alongside it.

Under Federal Decree-Law No. 33 of 2021 (Article 51), employees with 1+ year of service earn 21 days of basic salary per year of service for the first 5 years, then 30 days per year after that, capped at 24 months of total basic salary. It is based on basic salary only, excluding housing and transport allowances.

Returning home can significantly reduce your required corpus if the cost of living there is lower — enter your expected home-country annual spending and the calculator will target that figure instead of your UAE spending.

The 25x corpus target is a general planning rule of thumb, not tied to any UAE pension scheme, and gratuity can be forfeited in narrow gross-misconduct cases under Article 44 that this tool doesn't model. Investment return and inflation are held constant for the whole period, which real markets rarely do.
