GlobalCalqulate ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to a privacy-by-design approach. Our calculators run in your browser, and we do not build or maintain a first-party database of your personal data.

This Privacy Policy explains what limited information is processed, how it is handled, and how third-party services (such as advertising partners) may operate. It is designed with the principles of GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and India's DPDP Act 2023 in mind.

2. What We Do Not Collect or Store

As of the effective date below, GlobalCalqulate does not:

• Create user accounts or profiles.
• Ask you to register, sign up, or log in.
• Store your calculator inputs (such as income, expenses, investment amounts, or health metrics) on our servers.
• Build behavioural profiles, track you across other websites, or conduct cross-site tracking in our own systems.
• Sell, rent, or trade any personal data, because we do not maintain such a database.
• Collect sensitive categories of personal data such as health diagnoses, political opinions, or religious beliefs as defined in applicable laws.

3. Calculator Inputs & Local Processing

Our calculators are designed so that your inputs are processed directly in your browser using client-side code (JavaScript/React).

• Calculator input values are used only to compute results on your device.
• We do not send these values to our servers for storage or long-term processing.
• When you close or refresh the page, any input data you entered is typically lost unless your own browser settings (e.g., form auto-fill) preserve it.

In other words, we do not intentionally persist your calculator inputs or associate them with your identity.

4. Calculator Accuracy & Disclaimer

Our calculators provide estimates based on standard formulas and publicly available data. For:

• Health Calculators: These are for informational purposes only and are not medical advice. Always consult healthcare professionals for medical decisions.
• Financial Calculators: These provide estimates based on standard formulas and should not be considered financial advice. Actual results may vary based on individual circumstances and market conditions.
• Unit Converters: We strive for accuracy but recommend verifying critical conversions through multiple sources.

5. Technical Logs & Hosting

Like most websites, our hosting environment may automatically create short-lived technical logs (for example, to prevent abuse, ensure availability, and detect security issues). These logs may include:

• IP address and approximate location (country/region level).
• Browser type, device type, and operating system.
• Visited pages and basic error diagnostics.
• Date and time of request.

We do not use these logs to identify you as an individual, and we do not combine them with calculator inputs to build a profile. Logs are retained only for a limited period by the hosting provider for security and operational purposes and are then automatically deleted or anonymised where feasible.

Note: Our site is served through Cloudflare, which acts as our hosting and content-delivery/security provider and may process limited technical request data (such as IP address and request metadata) on our behalf to deliver, cache, and protect the website. Cloudflare's privacy policy is available at https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/. We do not have access to detailed raw server logs beyond aggregate operational and security information.

Data security. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited data described in this Policy. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security, and any transmission of information is at your own risk to the extent permitted by applicable law.

6. Cookies, Local Storage & Consent

We aim to keep browser storage usage minimal and transparent:

• Necessary storage: We may store a small, non-identifying value (e.g., your cookie/consent preferences) in your browser's localStorage or a similar mechanism. This is required so we do not keep showing you the consent banner on every visit.
• Optional analytics: If enabled in the future, we will only run analytics scripts after your explicit consent where required by law. These would be configured to minimise data collection where possible.
• Optional advertising cookies: If advertising services such as Google AdSense are present, they may use cookies or similar technologies. These are controlled by the third-party provider, and your consent choices are respected via the consent banner.

You can usually clear cookies and localStorage in your browser settings at any time.

7. Third-Party Services & Advertising Partners

To keep GlobalCalqulate free to use, we integrate services provided by third parties:

Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies to serve personalized ads based on your browsing behavior across sites. Revenue from ads helps support our team and keeps the service free worldwide.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how our calculators are used, which countries they're popular in, and which features need improvement. Google Analytics collects anonymized usage data such as page views, country of origin, and device type. This helps us:

• Identify which calculators are most useful
• Ensure existing calculators remain accurate
• Expand to multiple countries effectively

These providers may independently collect and process personal data under their own privacy policies and legal responsibilities.

• We do not sell or directly provide your personal data to third parties. However, when you view or interact with a third-party ad or widget, your browser may communicate directly with that third party.
• Where required, we will seek your consent for personalized advertising and will respect your choice to opt out of such personalisation.
• Third-party providers act as independent data controllers for their own use of data. Please refer to their published privacy policies for full details on what they collect and how they use it.

We are not responsible for third-party privacy practices or for content on external websites linked from GlobalCalqulate. Your use of such services is subject to their respective terms and policies.

8. Legal Bases & Your Rights

Because we do not operate a first-party user database, our direct processing of personal data is extremely limited. Where applicable privacy laws (such as GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, or India's DPDP Act) apply, our primary legal bases are:

• Legitimate interests: Operating and securing the website, preventing abuse, and measuring basic service performance using minimal technical data.
• Consent: For any optional analytics or personalized advertising, where such features are implemented and legally required.
• Contractual necessity: For processing necessary to provide our free calculator services.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights such as access, correction, deletion, objection, or restriction of processing with respect to personal data held by us. Since we intentionally avoid collecting personal data, exercising these rights will typically relate to:

• Any technical logs or consent records that can reasonably be linked to you; and

9. Data Retention (Minimal)

Because we do not maintain a first-party user database or store calculator inputs, there is very little data to retain. In general:

• Technical logs kept by our hosting provider are retained only as long as necessary for security, legal, and operational reasons and are then deleted or anonymised where feasible.
• Your consent preferences are stored in your browser and remain there until you clear them or they expire.

10. International Data Transfers

Our hosting provider and third-party services may operate servers in multiple countries. This can result in your technical data being processed outside your country of residence. Where such transfers occur, we rely on the safeguards and legal mechanisms implemented by those providers (for example, standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms under applicable data protection laws).

For EU/UK residents: Where limited technical data is transferred internationally, we rely on the safeguards implemented by our service providers. The standard terms of major providers we use (such as Google and Cloudflare) incorporate data-processing terms and, where applicable, Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent transfer mechanisms. Please refer to each provider's documentation for the specific safeguards they apply.

11. Children's Privacy

GlobalCalqulate is designed for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal data from children. We do not offer registration, and we do not request that children submit personal details. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can investigate and, where applicable, delete such information from any systems under our control.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our technology, services, or legal obligations. The most recent version will always be available on this page.
